Grenfell Silos Lightshow an ongoing success

Grenfell Silos attracting strong visitor numbers

The nightly lightshow at the Grenfell Silos is continuing to attract solid visitor numbers that includes visitors to the township as well as locals.

On display from sunset to 9:45 every night of the year is a visual light-scape that shines across the artwork on the side of the silos and then changes subtly during its 15-minute run time. The nightly lightshow demonstrates the passage of a day, from dawn to midday to dusk and is giving more travellers a reason to stop in Grenfell and enjoy a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour.

Deliberately fashioned in the style of its city counterpart, Sydney’s Vivid Festival of Lights, the Grenfell Silos Lightshow is the town’s new crowning glory and has been a strong addition to the captivating Heesco-painted silos .

It's a 365-night lightshow that was launched back in December 2023 by the Grow Grenfell

Group as its first installation for the Grenfell Lights project and gives visitors an after-hours experience in the town. Heesco’s artwork takes on a whole new character at night as colours pop out at you or pull the landscape out toward you. It’s really quite dynamic.
