A cultural and sports hub for the whole community

The Grenfell Cultural Centre is a bold community initiative led by twenty local residents who have funded detailed architectural plans and visual renders for a landmark cultural facility in Grenfell, NSW. Designed as a meeting place for all ages, the centre will bring together three of the town’s key institutions: the Grenfell Museum, Grenfell Art Gallery, and Grenfell Visitor Information Centre. Each will gain significantly more space and improved facilities by being housed together.

Alongside these core facilities, the Cultural Centre will include a new Youth Centre that also functions as a Town Hall and multipurpose venue for events, indoor sport, and community use. It will also feature a dedicated Dreamtime Exhibition celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, as well as a café with indoor and outdoor seating. The centre’s flexible design will allow it to host everything from concerts to local exhibitions, all in climate-controlled comfort.

This project aims to create a vibrant hub for locals and visitors alike. The layout includes a welcoming foyer with covered entry and a circular driveway for easy access. With expanded parking and dedicated visitor facilities, the centre will offer a greatly improved experience and help showcase the rich history, culture, and creativity of Grenfell and the wider Weddin Shire.
