Grow Grenfell Group announced as finalist for 2026 Innovate with nbn awards

The Grow Grenfell Group Inc has been selected as a Finalist in the 2026 Innovate with nbn Grants Program – Arts, Culture & Tourism category. We are one of three finalists in this category and the winner will be awarded $15,000 at a Gala Awards Nights in Sydney on Monday 16 November.

This is great news for the Grow Grenfell Group and provides recognition at a national level for our ‘Grenfell Lights’  Project and is also acknowledgement for the commitment and support that so many people have given to our innovative lighting project that is now beginning to make a difference for our township.

With eight lighting installations now completed the 'Grenfell Lights’  is playing its part in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of Grenfell and fostering a sense of pride in the town's rich architectural heritage.

What is being achieved in Grenfell with our world-class lighting installations has not previously been undertaken on the same scale by other regional and remote towns in Australia.

The journey to-date with our lights goes back to December 2023 when the Grow Grenfell Group officially unveiled our first installation on the artwork at the Grenfell Silos. Over the past three years our 'Grenfell Lights’  Project has continued to expand and there are now permanent lighting installations on the Grenfell Silos, St Josephs Catholic Church and the facades of six historic buildings in the main street of the township.
