Grenfell Lights seeking new funding avenues as expansion continues
We are approaching three years since the first installation for the Grenfell Lights was officially opened at the Grenfell Silos in December 2023.
This initiative, led by the Not-for-Profit Grow 'Grenfell Group Inc' is focused on bringing attention to the town's historic buildings with world-class lighting installations.

With eight lighting installations now completed the Grenfell Lights is playing its part in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of Grenfell and fostering a sense of pride in the town's rich architectural heritage.
In order to continue to light-up more buildings the Grenfell Group Inc is working hard to find new sources of funding and in recent weeks has submitted applications for two grant programs.
1. 'Innovate with nbn' grants programme.
Our application was submitted on 8 October in the Arts, Culture & Tourism section of the nbn grants programme and has been accepted. The nbn grant programme is competitive.
The level of lighting sophistication we are achieving with our Grenfell Lights installations would not be possible if we did not have access to nbn connectivity on each of the buildings.
We should know the outcome of our application for the grant next month.

2. Weddin Shire Council - Community Project Support funding
The second grant application was sent to Weddin Shire Council on 29 September and the Grow Grenfell Group is seeking $950.00 from their Community Project Support funding.
If Council awards the Grow Grenfell Group a grant for $950 from their funding program the money will go towards covering the cost of running next years Grenfell Lights Car Poker Run in September.
